[h=2]2017 Lexus CT spied testing in UK[/h] A prototype of the 2017 Lexus CT has been spied testing in UK, courtesy of Autowereld. The CT was first introduced in 2010 and went on sale in Japan in 2011. The all-new redesigned model, according to media reports, will debut in 2017.
The current Lexus CT is powered by the same hybrid powertrain from the third generation Prius. The 1.8-litre 2ZR-FXE naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine produces 73 kW (98 hp) and 142 Nm of torque. The 1.3kWh 3JM nickel-metal-hydride battery pack generates 60 kW (81 hp) and 207 Nm of torque. The system output is rated at 100 kW (134 hp).
Our understanding is that the second generation Lexus CT would be underpinned by the company?s new modular platform called the ?Toyota New Global Architecture? which will also form basis for thefourth generation Toyota Prius, and the engine and transmission would also be shared with it. In that case, the below mentioned specifications are most likely.
