The Car 100,000miles with one previous owner. The car was fully Lexus Serviced with all receipts included with the most recent receipt being forthe timing belt change, water pump, front brake callipers and new tires (3,800 euros at dealer!!!).

In the past couple weeks I have done some maintenance and a little extra:

Engine Oil Change
Auto Trans Fluid Drain regiment
Maf Cleaning + TB Cleaning and a New TB Gasket
Replaced Old Cabin Filter with a New charcoal unit:

This is about the max size battery that could possibly fit without a custom battery tray (still required battery tray dremeling)

Custom Joe Z Style Intake(still would like to powder coat it):

Poor Boy Polished the body which really brought out the metallic flake look and I like it

Changed the limiter slip diff fluid with redline 75w90 (with no slip modifier)

Called in a favour and had Denso Europe gap and test a new set of spark plugs for optimum performance
(my car is still running the original plugs and is over due for a little tune up)

Installed new Brembo disks and pads because I found that the heat shield had destroyed the old set. Previous owner had them replaced by the dealer a year ago but they just put new parts on and didn't fix the heat shield contact issue first :(
This significantly improved my fuel economy!

I had my hollow TRD sway bars powder coated black (front 30mm +49% rear 19.1mm +99%):

Installed the front bar and rear bar with new links and a Universal Energy suspension bushing kit (Needed Cutting of the tabs and slots but was a perfect fit otherwise):

The IS should have come with beefy sway bars from the factory as it handles corners and roundabouts with ease now.
Looking forward to taking it on our next trip to Belgium.

I have a couple more plans for the car and will post more photos as I go.

Kind regards
Lumin

Well Marcel, he started it ;) It seems that most know their way around in English and it's good practice. But whatever you like, luminmiller, copy paste away :p

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the warm welcome.
Don't worry about writing in English as I can read and understand dutch.

I have a question about the headlight leveller in the rear.
Can anyone tell me the correct alignment procedure as I have a light on the dash since the rear bar was changed:

Ya Black would not have been my choice but the powder coater did them for free as he snuck it into a production run of fence posts.
I wanted them re-coated as the previous owner had complained about bushing noise even when lubed (there was rust present on the bushing areas which was prematurely destroying the bushings).

The Bars look very stealth under the car I will take pictures when I get it back on the lift for a full front end re-build.

I bought the sway bars and shipped them from the UK.
The end links came from Japan
The greasable sway bar bushings came from the USA

Sourceing part in the Netherlands can be a little difficult and costly so I usually import stuff

I Ordered the complete front end bushing and steering arms from the UK and should have it all by next week:

OEM no. 2 Lowers suspension arms with bushings
OEm no.1 Lower suspension arms with bushings
Poly Steering gear bushings
Japanese Ball Joints Upper and Lower
Japanese Steering rack arms with bushings (inner and outer)
New Upper arm bushings

I want to do the whole front end in one go so I only have to have the car aligned once.
Ill post pics when all the new parts come in.

I received all the front end suspension components today and as I gesture of good-will they sent me a set of differential bushings for free:

I look forward to installing this in the near future.

The JoeZ intake (look-a-like) looks nice! Can you tell me what kind of parts you used for this mod?

Good call on the TRD bushings, they are a little firmer and should take a little more abuse.
When I swap the arms out (#2) I will keep the old ones for future plans of installing a permanent solution:

This number #2 arm bushing is a failure point on the front end of every lexus I have owned and I look forward to tightening up my is300 a little.
